Dégustation

2014 – The floral nose exudes notes of hazelnut and honey. On the palate, an agreeable complexity and ample texture, with dried apricot and honey notes prominent.

Terroir: In the northwest of the estate, on south-facing land with chalky-clay soils sitting on a layer of pale phonolite (known locally as lauze).

Cépages: 50% Sémillon - 50% Rolle
Rendements: 40hl/ha

Vinification

The grapes are pressed at low temperature Only the first juices are selected to be vinified in new oak barrels (barriques and demi-muids) on fine lees, to impart the exceptional richness characteristic of this cuvée. Malolactic fermentation is not performed, so as to retain all of the wine’s freshness and vivacious style.
