A personality-packed wine, to enjoy with delicious Provençal recipes!
Epidaure is a very pleasant red wine with wild fruit, spice and roasted notes.
For fine wine enthusiasts keen to unearth new cuvées from the area!
Blackberry, exotic wood and coffee when aerated – the woody notes are well controlled and embedded in the fruit.
Dégustation
2014 – An attractive deep ruby colour, with a nose of roasted notes elegantly combined with scents of wild fruits and musk. On the palate, the wine is fleshy and seriously elegant, with a consensual woody undertone that is very well balanced and integrated.
Informations
Vinification
The grapes are fully destemmed then cooled, prior to about 2 weeks’ vinification at 24°C.
The wine is then matured for 8 months in an air-conditioned cellar, in (2 or 3 wine) barriques and demi-muids.
Conseils Mets & Vins
This cuvée is perfect with flavourful meat dishes: duck with olives, lamb and bell peppers, stew…
Its rich structure and the quality of its tannins mean it can also do justice to spicy recipes as well as forceful cheeses.
